Antonov An-12 crashes in Juba

An Antonov An-12 aircraft has crashed near Juba Airport, killing at least 25 people, BBC News has reported.

The aircraft was flying to Paloch, Upper Nile State, and crashed 800m from the runway.
 
There are currently no exact numbers on how many people were killed in the accident, however presidential spokesman Ateny Wek Ateny told the news agency that three of the 18 people on board had survived.
 
The head of Civil Aviation at Juba has said that emergency officials have secured the site and are currently recovering bodies.
